Resources are anything that enhance our quality of life and allow us to live to our full potential. They help us deal with stress, support us in difficult times, and allow us to fully appreciate when life is good. Resources can be in our external environment, our internal environment or relational (connected to other people). They support us in connecting to our thoughts, emotions and bodily sensations, meaning we are better able to identify our own needs and meet them. Resulting in increased health, wellbeing and overall enjoyment of life.
In today's fast-paced world, it's common for the connection between our bodies and minds to become overwhelmed due to stress, anxiety, and the demands of everyday life.
Join us for this warm and friendly workshop where we will explore "The Window of Tolerance," an evidence-based therapeutic intervention that helps us understand how the body responds to stress and what we can do about it. We will delve into this learning through embodied practices in a light-hearted space that encourages fun and curiosity.
Workshop Overview

I’ve worked as a therapist with individuals in my private practice since 2018. Supporting them in their own personal development, I love my work, and get so much joy from assisting others in this exploration. In 2021 I started working with groups therapeutically, and was in awe of what is possible when likeminded people come together. It became my mission to make this group space available to more people in a way that felt accessible and within their comfort zones. A space in which they could not just learn, but connect with others, and have fun along the way. These workshops are an opportunity for you to dip your toes into the experience of group work, in a way that is gentle and welcoming. My role is to hold the therapeutic space so that you can sit back, relax and enjoy the time we will spend together.
Hi I'm Ruth. I’m a qualified counsellor and member of the BACP, with 5 years experience of supporting clients therapeutically. To me, coming together in a group is one of the most powerful spaces for learning and growth, sharing ideas that connect us in our human experience and help us find community. Parent to two children, I currently balance family life with working for a music therapy charity and I’m passionate about how creativity can support our sense of self, connection and wellbeing, whether that’s in storytelling, writing, craft, cooking or any creative process. I have researched and written about women’s experiences of fertility/infertility and I’m interested in the cycle of reproductivity over our lifespan, particularly how we adapt to shifts throughout our lives, to find resilience in challenging times.
